If you've "hopped" over from Regina Mangum's blog...WELCOME! Glad you "hopped in"! I'm stop number 11 on the Fall/Thanksgiving Holiday Hop (for the complete Holiday Hop Line-Up, click here)!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner! If you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner for family and friends, make some pretty table accents and favors for your guests! Have a few special people who can't attend? Send them a beautiful card to commemorate the holiday! I used Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Bella Toile background stamp, the ever versatile Autumn Splendor set, and Holiday Best (Level 1 hostess set) to make these Fall/Thanksgiving themed creations. For my seasonal color palette, I used Stampin' Up! card stock in Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, and More Mustard. Read on for more inspiration!
Dress up your table with elegant leaf-adorned place cards in fall colors to designate seating for your guests! Or, use them as food markers to identify all the tasty dishes on your buffet! Bella Toile stamped with Chocolate Chip on Soft Suede provides the beautiful background for these gorgeous cards (see my gallery for individual views of each card for a closer look). Want a more simple look? Eliminate the Bella Toile and use a solid background of Soft Suede instead!
Add another pretty accent to your table with treat-filled favor boxes for each of your guests in a matching pattern and coordinating colors. Fill with wrapped chocolates, candied nuts, or a special note to each recipient. This box was made using Real Red stamped on More Mustard, with a belly band in Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, and Soft Suede. A pretty bow in Riding Hood Red taffeta adds the finishing touch! Too much pattern for your taste? Dress it down by substituting a solid colored card stock for the box if you need a simpler look!
Need a pretty card to send to a family member or friend for Thanksgiving? This simple but elegant card showcases the beauty of nature with a tied bouquet of fall leaves and acorns. A tailored ribbon with button accents and the perfect sentiment for the holiday season completes the card!
Before you move on, don't forget to mark your calendar for the next Holiday Hop! Join me and my fellow Holiday Hoppers in December at 5:00 AM CST on Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 for a Christmas/Winter Holiday Hop! We can't wait to share more fun and exciting holiday ideas with you!
