Happy New Year to you and yours! We're starting 2014 off with a new Color Challenge (PPA186) at Pals Paper Arts! I hope you'll join me and my fellow Resident Artists from Team #1 and create a card using the following trendy color combo:
In case you haven't noticed, gold is everywhere in fashion and home decor these days! Even brass, the poor man's gold, is making a comeback! At PPA this week, we've paired gold with Island Indigo and Whisper White to create a fresh, modern color trio that really looks sharp together!
I created a clean and simple card that requires minimal supplies and very little time to put together! I love the contrast of the gold stars against Island Indigo! Adhesive rhinestones add extra sparkle and complement the metallic sheen of the stars. A stamped sentiment from Sweet Essentials allows the card to be used for a birthday or New Year's greeting. The results are quick, shiny and fun! Please let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below! I really appreciate your feedback and always enjoy hearing from you!
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Simply Stars, Sweet Essentials
Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White card stock; Regals Collection Patterns Stack DSP
Ink: Encore Ultimate Metallic Gold, Island Indigo
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Snips
Extras: Gold adhesive rhinestones (my embellishment stash), Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive
What a wonderful card, Margaret! Love all those stars.
