I hope your New Year is off to a great start! Our Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge creator and manager, the very talented Lesley Croghan, has established a new home for us at Merry Monday, where our weekly challenges will now be hosted! In addition to our new blog, she's also given us a new look! Be sure to stop by to meet the new team for 2014 and have a look at the new design! I know you'll love the new look and be inspired by our talented team of Merry Makers!
I hope you'll get out your supplies and join us for our first challenge of the new year! It's never too early to start making your Christmas cards! Here's our inspiration photo and the details for this week's challenge:
There's so many things you can do with ribbon or twine! I decided to try to mimic the look of the popular sunburst design, but incorporate stars in the design instead! If you follow my blog, you've probably noticed I've been kind of hooked on stars lately! The gold-threaded twine, gold glitter paper and gold embossed sentiment really make a statement together against the clean white background. I hope you like it as much as I do!
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Endless Wishes
Paper: Whisper White card stock; Gold glitter paper (Recollections)
Ink: Encore Gold Metallic
Tools: Small Star Punch (retired), Stamp-a-ma-jig, Clear embossing powder, heat gun, Embossing Buddy
Extras: Stampin' Dimensionals
Margaret, what an awesome way to use twine! You're card is beautiful, thanks for sharing.

What a great idea - love the idea of using twine to create the starburst. One of my new year intents is to make Christmas cards all year long, so thanks for the inspiration!
