Happy Monday to you! Thanks for dropping by to view my submission for our new challenge at Merry Monday this week! It's a great time to get a head start on your holiday cards before things get too hectic! I hope you'll join us for the challenge and make a card for your stash!
Lesley has a beautiful inspiration photo for us to work with this week! There are so many wonderful elements in this photo that I'm sure will spark your creativity! I know you're going to love it!
My card was inspired by the beautiful greenery and apples in the photo. I love the contrasting greens! To mimic those greens, I created a sprig of cedar using a punch from my stash, then paired it with sprig of mistletoe that was fashioned from a die cut. My woodgrain element is a wide strip of Early Espresso card stock embossed with a woodgrain pattern. I'm very pleased with how this turned out and I hope you like it as much as I do!
All supplies used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Greetings of the SeasonPaper: Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White card stock
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers
Tools: Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlits die, Fir Branch punch (Martha Stewart), 1/4" Circle Punch (retired), 3/16"' Corner Punch, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, stylus
Extras: Linen Thread, Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive
OOOH ms Marguerite that's so pretty , love it !!!

Margaret this is GORGEOUS! It may be my very favorite... well there are too many favorites, right? The sprigs look so real I thought I it WAS real foliage. I had to read twice... the two greens against the woodgrain on all the WHITE space ...well it just looks FAB!
With your permission I will have to CASE (ummm recreate) this beauty for sure! Hugs
