Pals Paper Arts is celebrating its 100th challenge in the papercrafting world and we'd like to invite you to help us celebrate this important milestone! In celebration of our 100th challenge, we're asking you to "play along at PPA" and create a card showing us your favorite technique! Distressing, watercoloring, dry embossing, heat embossing, masking, paper-piecing, just to name a few!
I couldn't pick just one favorite technique, so I picked one of my favorites...embossing! The embossing shown on my set of thank you cards was quick work with a Big Shot and the Elegant Impressions Textured Embossing Folder! Add a little faux ribbon made from DSP and a simple sentiment stamped and punched from white card stock and you have a simple yet elegant set of cards to give away as a gift or keep for yourself!
Speaking of give aways, if you play along with us this week, you not only have the chance to be chosen as a Pals Paper Arts Artist Pick, but the chance to win our huge BLOG CANDY BLOWOUT package! Each member of the PPA Design Team will be contributing to that Blog Candy Blowout package and a picture of my contribution is shown at the right. Be sure to visit the blogs of each PPA Design Team member to see what else you could win if you play along with us this week! What are you waiting for! Get out those supplies and get busy! I can't wait to see what you create!

Margaret congrats on the PPA's 100th! Wow how exciting. I love your card set and the envelopes are adorable. Who wouldn't want to get that! I really have to think WHAT would be favorite technique, but I'm not sure I can pick just one. THANKS also for a chance at such generous blog candy... someone is going to be REALLY happy. Hugs.

What a great set! So easy to make, yet SO effective. Like (the other) Linda, I thought the ribbon was real--that's a super trick. You've got the gears grinding in my brain.

What lovely cards! I love the look of embossing folders. Particularly the ones that etch so deeply. I love the look of all one color too. TFS

OMG, your cards are stunning!!! I love them!!! Mary is so right, drop dead gorgeous!!! How on earth did you get that embossing folder to work so it wouldn't leave that smashed looked in some areas? Hugs,

I added this embossing folder to my first order from the new catalog because I loved these cards!

Margaret... is there a secret to getting the embossed image where you have it on the card.... the "bulk" of the design in the lower left corner??? When I did it, the embossing is on the right side of the card front in the upper right corner and upside-down! HELP!!! :-) Did you layer it and it doesn't look layered??? Thanks so much......these are beautiful cards!

Hi, Margaret! Love these cards!!!
I was started to make them, but, I don't understand how you got the embossing folder to emboss that way? Mine is 'off. Did you cut your embossing folder apart to just use the top any way you want???
Thanks for answering! My cardstock is cut and waiting! LOL
