I've designed another simple sketch for you to work with for the Sketch Challenge (PPA94) at Pals Paper Arts this week! This particular sketch lends itself to so many different possibilities!
For my card, I chose to use the Butterfly Punch in place of the circles on the sketch. I created my own patterned paper by stamping flowers with matching ink onto card stock before punching out each butterfly. Simple embellishments include a flower-shaped button for the body tied with Linen Thread to create antennae. A Stamp-a-ma-jig was used for perfect placement of the sentiment from the Live, Laugh, Love set. I love the simple but bold look created by stamping the words directly onto the word print patterned paper!
Now it's your turn! See what my fellow PPA Design Team members and Guest Artist Rae Harper did with the sketch and find out how you can "play along at PPA"! I can't wait to see what you create!
All supplies used are Stampin' Up!, unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Bits, Live, Laugh, Love
Paper: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake card stock; Pear Pizzazz Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack - In Color Collection, Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack - Neutrals Collection
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise Classic ink; Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
Tools: Butterly Punch, 3/16" Corner Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Extras: Rose Red flower button - Designer Buttons Subtles Collection, Pumpkin Pie & Tempting Turquoise flower buttons - Designer Buttons Brights Collection, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Fabulous, Margaret! I love the butterflies with their buttons!
