It's Thursday and that means it's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts! We're well into summer too and that means it's time for weddings! In honor of the wedding season, we're hosting a Wedding Theme Challenge (PPA51) this week at PPA!
QUESTION: What were your "wedding colors"? Just for fun, please leave a comment under the comments section and tell me what your colors were! If you're not married or didn't have a wedding that required you to pick colors, tell me what colors you would choose!
My wedding colors were soft yellow and peach (definitely not what I would choose today)! Cream and light green are supposed to be a "hot" color combo for weddings this year, so I paired Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery with Sahara Sand for my wedding themed card! If you follow my blog regularly, you know I love working with bright and unusual color combos! I don't consider this an unusual color combo, but I do think it's very pretty for a wedding! You might also notice that I've featured this layout before and I think it lends itself well for a wedding card. When it comes to weddings, my preference is classic and traditional (very Martha Stewart)! This card combines many beautiful but simple elements, resulting in a card that exudes understated elegance! I like how it turned out and I hope Martha would be proud!
Speaking of Martha, our own Martha Stewart is this week's Featured Artist! Click here to see Martha's and the PPA Design Team's inspiring ideas for weddings! Make your own wedding themed creation and post it at Pals Paper Arts before 12:00 Noon CST on Tuesday, July 20th! Who knows? You might just be a Pals Paper Arts Artist Pick, so get busy! Don't forget to post your wedding colors in the comment section, too!

Oh Margaret, this is lovely. I wish I would have chosen these colors for my wedding! Instead my bridesmaids wore pale pink shantung. It was very soft and pretty but certainly not my choice of today! Your card is fabulous--always love visiting your blog. Cheers!

I really like this card, I especially love the beautiful bow you made, soft and symmetrical! I still LOVE my wedding colors - Dark purple (almost plum) and light buttery yellow...makes me smile just thinking about it!

What a beautiful card Margaret! I just received this stamp yesterday with some new goodies. My wedding colors back in 1984 were Peach and Gray!

Beautiful, Margaret! In 1974, my colors were yellow and white. In 1989, they were peach and cream. And if I were to select today, I would go for Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

What a gorgeous card and so elegant for a wedding! Love that scallop border you created! My wedding was small and plain, just black and cream!

Lovely card. I didn't have a wedding colors, but if I were to do it today I would choose dark plum (eggplant), sage green and either cream or gray.

I didn't have wedding colors, either, but I'm very partial to greens and blues...ocean shades. Love your card..and all your creations!

What a simple but elegant wedding card. My colors 28 years ago were a soft lavender and cream.

Close to 47 years, mine were light sky blue and white. Now they have such dramatic colors and fun to see. Love the card and looks simple but elegant! Thanks for sharing!

Love the card . . . especially your scallop border. I was married before a judge and wore a champagne pink silk dress (just below the knee). My husband wore his only suit--totally geek. When we look at our wedding pictures, we comment "What were we thinking?" Hugs, M

Beautiful as always Margaret! I look forward each week to see your creations! I got married in the courthouse to the man of my dreams in a pink blazer and skirt :)

Well....hate to admit this....but I was married in the early 70s and in the fall. My colors were fall colors, avocado green bright yellow and orange. I really wish I had used different colors.
Your card is beautiful!

Lovely, lovely card! Back in 1985, our wedding color was pink with a heart theme!! I was perhaps NOT the most sophisticated young bride. Keep in mind the popular color scheme was mauve & peach.

My wedding was in October of '93 so I chose the autumn rainbow. Red, orange, yellow and green. Offset with beige and black.

Our colours were pink and light green (like the background on this page!)

So pretty! I didn't have particular colors for my wedding. We had a really small wedding and my maid of honor (my sister) just wore an outfit she had and the best man wore a regular blue suit. My bouquet was peach roses, though. :)

Oh that's a beauty of a card. Love the back ground! What were my wedding colors? Wow, that was so long ago I believe it was Lavender and Cream. I still like those colors even now! Have a great day!

Oh Margaret, your card is stunning!!! My colors nearly 30 years ago were Baby Blue and White. Can you even imagine that. There is no way I would choose that today. Hugs,

Another beauty Margaret and I love reading everyone's wedding colors! In 1973 mine were pink and green like Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink!
