It's Thursday and that means it's time to play at PPA! We're hosting an Inspiration Challenge (PPA45) this week at Pals Paper Arts using this great photo of a restful hammock piled high with fun pillows! I don't know about you, but when I look at this picture, I think about resting and relaxing in the cool shade! Ahhh! The easy life!
Today's card was easy to make and I used both the floral and the striped pillow for inspiration! I used the flower image from one of my very favorite sets, Best Wishes & More. I took a bit of "creative license" to stamp them off-center on each punched square of Whisper White, then mounted them on punched squares of Basic Black. I grouped the squares together "gallery style" to give the card a more contemporary and modern look! A single black brad was added to each square as an unexpected accent. A simple sentiment was stamped in black StazOn, directly over the Crushed Curry floral image. A band of striped ribbon sports a single pleat and a double-button treatment tied with Linen Thread adds the perfect finishing touch! Quick, easy, and fun!
How will this photo inspire you? Need more ideas? Check out Pals Paper Arts for more ideas from my fellow PPA Design Team members and this week's Featured Artist, the amazingly talented Regina Mangum. Get out your supplies and get busy! Then post your creation on PPA via Inlinkz before Tuesday, June 8th at 12:00 Noon CST. I can't wait to see how you were inspired! Come "play along" at PPA!
