This week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts is to make "Anything BUT a Card" (PPA35)! This luscious slice of birthday cake is actually a fun box that opens from the top to access the contents inside! You can find several patterns on the internet for making a cake slice box. My Barely Banana cake has a pink rick rack filling and is frosted with rich Chocolate Chip frosting! Dainty blossoms in Pink Passion with yellow brad centers dot the top and sides of the cake slice. A striped birthday candle in Gable Green and Pink Passion burns brightly on top, held in place by a Boho Blossom punched "candleholder". The Top Note Die makes the perfect "plate" for presenting your delicious dessert to your recipient! A simple tag announces the special occasion, enhanced by a matching double-layer flower. Make one or make several! A fun alternative to a birthday card and a great way to package small birthday gifts!
Join the fun! Visit PPA for more inspiring ideas from the Pals Paper Arts Design Team! Make your own creation for this week's challenge (PPA35) and add your submission via InLinkz on the PPA site! I can't wait to see what you make!
All supplies used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
