GOBLIN GREETINGS & GHOULISH GIFTSThis "ghoulish grouping" has something for every goblin on your list...big and small! Today's featured creations showcase an array of Stampin' Up! products you can use to make these fun pocket cards and neat treat boxes!I love pocket cards! They're unique, easy to make, and fun to give (and receive)! They're great when you need to pop a quick note in the mail or need a last minute gift. Mail one out with a gift card to a favorite restaurant or store. Or, tuck in a pair of theater tickets or a gift certificate! The possibilities are endless!
This set of four was made using the Grateful Greetings stamp set, from the Holiday Mini Catalog, and the Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper, available in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. "Ghoulish touches" were added using the Ticket Corner Punch, Curly Label Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, and Mat Pack. (See MY GALLERY in the left column for individual views of each pocket card in the set).
Need special treats for trick-or-treaters, school, or the office? The Sizzix Big Shot and the Bigz XL Box #2 die make quick work of this task! This fun treat holder was made using Stampin' Up!'s Textured card stock in Pumpkin Pie. A belly band in Basic Black slides on from either side to keep the lid closed. The band features a spooky crest fashioned from three of Stampin' Up!'s versatile punches (Circle, Tab, Modern Label). The scroll-style stamp from Totally Tabs adds a ghoulish touch to the Old Olive layer. Paper piercing on the reverse side of the Perfect Plum circle adds depth, texture, and interest. Adhesive rhinestones add a little sparkle and fun and the Happy Halloween stamp from the All Holidays set completes the spooky package! Fill the box with sweet treats, crackers, fun erasers, or even a small gift or toy!My favorite pocket card features not one, but two pockets for filling! This double-pocket card was made using Kraft card stock and the many spooky patterned papers from the Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper pack. Clean rounded corners are easily made using the Corner Rounder punch. Added embellishments include a simple bow in 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a fun tag made with the Grateful Greetings set and the Tag Punch.
Two sleeved gift cards featuring added pull tabs take center-stage in this double-pocket card. The decorated sleeves coordinate with the designer papers and add suspenseful fun, concealing the inner contents! The pull tabs were made using the Totally Tabs stamp set and the ever-versatile Tab Punch. The stamp from the Grateful Greetings set was used again, along with Stampin' Write Markers in Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie, to add a fun "hint" to each tab. Each tab was adhered to the gift card with Mini Glue Dots (TIP: Be careful! When placing the glue dot on the back of the gift card, don't place it on the magnetic strip).
I hope you've enjoyed "hopping" by my blog for a Halloween visit! I also hope you'll consider joining as a "reader" to receive e-mail notices when I make a new post (no SPAM...I promise!). I love sharing my creations with you! I also love hearing from you!
