PPA46 - Color Challenge

If you're a regular follower of Pals Paper Arts, you know when Thursday rolls around, it's time for another challenge at PPA!  This week, we're hosting a Color Challenge (PPA46) using Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Soft Suede and giving away a great blog candy package! 

This clean and simple card uses minimal supplies and showcases the three challenge colors and a floral image and sentiment from Kind and Caring Thoughts!  The image was stamped using Stampin' Write Markers and adhesive rhinestones were added to the flower, creating a focal point to draw your eye in. Coordinating ribbon in Soft Suede was tied in a neat knot across a Spiral punched border of Crushed Curry.  This card could be adapted for any occasion by simply changing the message to fit your need.  Clean, simple, quick, and easy!

Precious Pets

If you're a pet owner, I don't have to tell you how wonderful and special they are!  Our furry friends bring us lots of joy, laughter, and, of course, so much love.  We consider our group at our house members of the family!  Losing a beloved pet is never easy.  It can be so difficult and hurts so much,  no matter how long we've had them and no matter what the circumstances.  They touch our lives in so many different ways.  A friend of mine recently lost her cat and this card was made especially for her.  I hope it brings her some small comfort to know we care.  Rest in peace, Bent.

Thinking of You

A friend of mine recently lost her mother and I needed a simple but pretty card to send to her.  This simple design is quick and easy to put together and could be easily adapted for any occasion.  Soft Suede, one of the six current In Colors, looks wonderful when combined with Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, and Very Vanilla.  The stamped and matted image and sentiment are highlighted with a tiny dotted print in Old Olive from The Write Stuff Specialty Designer Series Paper.  A pretty ribbon in a coordinating shade of purple is tied in a simple knot, adding the perfect balance to the overall design.

Unexpected Occasions

Life is full of unexpected moments and it's always great to have on hand a few handmade cards for those unexpected occasions.  This simple but pretty "Thinking of You" card was made for a friend who recently lost a close family member. The design can be easily adapted for other purposes by simply changing out the sentiment to fit the occasion and you're ready to go!   I love the color trio of Lovely Lilac, Pumpkin Pie, and Ruby Red together! Add Certainly Celery to the mix and the butterflies from the Great Friend set really "pop" against the Soft Suede base.  I think the results are striking! I hope you agree!  Thanks for visiting!
