PPA135 Sketch Challenge

It's time for another Sketch Challenge (PPA135) at Pals Paper Arts!  I've designed a simple sketch for you to use to create your card for this fun challenge!  Turn the sketch sideways, upside down, or use it as is!  The possibilities are endless!

My happy and cheerful thank you card uses three of my favorite products from Stampin' Up! that are retiring at the end of this month, the Thank You Kindly stamp set, the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, and Poppy Parade card stock!  I love all the different flower combinations you can create with the punch!  So fun and so cute!  I will miss all of these versatile items and plan to keep them in my stash for future use!  If you like my card, please leave me a comment!  I always enjoy hearing from you!

PPA133 Sketch Challenge

PPA131 Sketch Challenge

We have a new Sketch Challenge (PPA131) at Pals Paper Arts this week using a versatile sketch I designed just for you!  This sketch lends itself to so many possibilities and I hope you'll find it one you'll use over and over again! 

I love yellow and I paired it here with Pool Party, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, and Poppy Parade to create my Spring-themed thank you card!  The featured flowers were made using several different punches and decorative brads.  Faux stitching was added to highlight the patterned papers and dimensional leaves.  This bright and cheery card just sings happiness!  I hope you like it as much as I do!  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

PPA129 Sketch Challenge

It's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts!  I've designed a sketch for our latest challenge (PPA129) and we're hoping you'll join in the fun!  This card uses the stamp set Mixed Bunch and it's coordinating punch to create the featured flower!  I chose to use a mix of patterned prints for my background papers and pleated faux ribbon to complete the trendy color combo!  I like the results!  What do you think?  Please leave me a comment and let me know!

PPA127 Sketch Challenge

The second challenge for January at Pals Paper Arts is a Sketch Challenge (PPA127) using this simple sketch I designed for you (shown left)!  I hope you'll join us and give it a try!  I associate the color gray with the dreary winter days of January.  Add sunny yellow to the mix and those blah, gray days seem a bit brighter and happier!  Flowers make it even that much better!  One of my favorite sentiments on the card says it all!

A Simple Sketch Challenge

I've designed a "Simple Sketch" (PPA124) for you to try for this week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts!  A sketch makes a great starting point and nothing is "set in stone"!  Flip it, turn it, or use it just as it is drawn!  Dress it up or down!  The choice is yours!

I used dies, a punch, and adhesive rhinestones to create my red and white flurry of flakes that are featured!  The seasonal sentiment was stamped and punched out, then embellished with a few blingy berries and leaves!  The embossed snowflake background in Lucky Limeade is the perfect contrast to the band of red and white striped ribbon!  Cheerful, bright, and fun!

PPA120 - Sketch Challenge

It's Thursday and that means it's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts!  This week, we're hosting a Sketch Challenge (PPA120) using a simple sketch I designed!  This particular sketch was designed to give you ample space to show off a great stamped image or featured element and some pretty patterned or textured paper!

My card highlights the floral and leaf images from the Array of Sunshine set.   Each layer of the largest floral image was snipped out with scissors and dimensionals were added between each layer to create depth and height.  An adhesive rhinestone adds the perfect touch of bling to finish off the featured flower!

PPA116 - Sketch Challenge

We're offering you a Sketch Challenge (PPA116) this week at Pals Paper Arts, hoping you'll join in the fun and "play along" with me and my fellow Pals at PPA!  I've designed a simple and versatile sketch that I'm sure you'll find will work for almost any occasion!  Today's card features one of my favorite new stamps, Sweet Floral!  The card's design evokes a traditional feel with the botanical floral image, but the unusual color palette is definitely fresh and contemporary!  Because the stamped and watercolored image takes center stage, it was important the rest of the card remain clean and not too fussy!  The results?  Elegant, yet simple and understated!

PPA107 - Sketch Challenge

 
Computer problems were the source of my absence the past two weeks from PPA, but I'm happy to report they're all straightened out now and everything is good!  Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Today's card was made for this week's Sketch Challenge (PPA107) hosted by Pals Paper Arts!  It's a simple sketch that can easily be "dressed up or down" and one I hope you'll enjoy trying out!  My card features patterns from "Just Add Cake" DSP on a card base of Early Espresso.  I love the fun circles in the background print, so I chose to repeat the design by featuring them on the four squares!  This card looks time-consuming, but it really comes together quickly and easily with the use of basic square and circle punches!
