PPA136 Color Challenge

It's Thursday and time for another Color Challenge (PPA136) at Pals Paper Arts!  This week we're challenging you to use the versatile color combo of Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White!  This trio would work for so many different types of cards, especially Father's Day or Fourth of July.

My patriotic card was made with no particular event in mind, but it would easily make a fun invitation for a Fourth of July party or also work as a birthday card for any age or gender!

PPA96 Celebrity Color Challenge

Pals Paper Arts is hosting a Celebrity Color Challenge with a masculine theme (PPA96) using Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, and Night of Navy and featuring Guest Artist, Tanya Phillips!  It's the perfect opportunity for you to get a jump on creations for upcoming events such as graduation, Father's Day, or the Fourth of July!

Today's card can work for any occasion and features a smart trio of stars created with punches!  Patterned paper was adhered to card stock first before punching to add depth and more body. Orienting the stripes diagonally adds visual interest, making the stars really "pop" against the neutral background of polka dots!  Simple brads added to each center provide the perfect finishing touch!

PPA49 - Inspiration Challenge

It's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts and this week, we're hosting a Fourth of July Inspiration Challenge (PPA49)!  What comes to mind when you think about the Fourth of July?  Patriotic parades, fireworks, picnics, our nation's birthday, freedom, a barbecue with family and friends?  I was inspired to create a party invitation in honor of the 4th using traditional patriotic colors of red, white, and blue, and some of my favorite stamp sets, punches, and other fun details (a little bling and paper piercing)! PPA43 - Theme Challenge

It's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts and this week we're hosting a Memorial Day Theme Challenge (PPA43).  We all have much to be thankful for and the upcoming observance of Memorial Day is the perfect opportunity to honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in our nation's service.  Originally called "Decoration Day", when graves of fallen soldiers were decorated by women's groups across the South, I decided to decorate my card with a "medal of service" that I created using a wreath image from the Together Forever stamp set and the Seeing Stars set.  I stamped my own background paper using another star image from Seeing Stars and added the perfect quote from Of the Earth.
