PPA52 - Sketch Challenge

Believe it or not, it's time for another Sketch Challenge (PPA52) at Pals Paper Arts!  I hope the sketch I designed for this week's challenge will inspire you to create something wonderful!  I seem to be on a "flower kick" lately and I can't explain why, other than the fact that I really like them and they're fun to make!  The cheerful flower featured on this get well card is composed of three layers quickly made using the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle and Fancy Flower punches from SU.  I used a 1" Circle punch and the Boho Blossom punch to create the flower's center and added a Rose Red button threaded with a sliver of Pear Pizzazz to finish it off!  A simple sentiment accented with a small flower button completes the card!

PPA34 - Get Well Wishes

I'm so very thankful and thrilled to be able to share my card with you today for this week's challenge hosted by Pals Paper Arts, a Simple Sketch Challenge (PPA34)!  My absence from my blog and PPA the last month was due to kidney stones.  I was unable to work, drive, or do anything, but I am so much better now and so happy to be back! 

Today's card was made using the sketch I designed for this week's challenge.  I used a color palette of Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Real Red, and Kiwi Kiss to feature the floral silhouette image from Of the Earth.  Embossed dots add texture to the band of Pink Passion and the striped Kiwi Kiss ribbon tabs are enhanced with red buttons that sport pink faux threading.  A bright sunny card that's sure to make anyone feel better!

Get Well Wishes

I'm thrilled to be the Pals Paper Arts Featured Artist again for this week's Sketch Challenge and so excited to share the card I created for the sketch I designed for PPA12!  I hope you'll be inspired to play along!

Cold and flu season is upon us and many of us find ourselves in need of a get well card for friends or family members! This cheerful card is sure to make the recipient feel better fast!  The bright colors paired with the happy polka dots would make anyone smile! Even though the colors are bright, the overall feel of the card is decidedly fall.  The cluster of fall-themed foliage with fun, berry buttons really "pops" against the Lovely Lilac circle.  A band of Old Olive features a simple bow that adds perfect balance for the final finishing touch!  Don't need a get well card?  Change out the sentiment to fit your need.  This design would make a great Thanksgiving or Happy Fall card, too!
