A New Sketch at Merry Monday

It's Monday and that means Lesley has a new sketch for you to try at Merry Monday!  Christmas will be here before you know it, so get a jump start on making your cards and join us for this challenge!  Here's the sketch:

This is a great sketch and it offers so many possibilities!  It's a wonderful sketch for featuring your favorite stamp image and some beautiful designer paper!  I stayed true to the sketch, with the exception of the placement of the sentiment, and kept things clean and simple.  This card was so easy to make and is a great card for mass producing.  While creating this card to share with you today, I easily made three extras to add to my Christmas card stash!

Merry Monday Challenge

Merry Monday resumes again this week with a new sketch from Lesley Croghan at Always Playing with Paper!  Visit Lesley's blog to see the sketch, then get out your supplies and join us at Merry Monday for this challenge!

My card is clean and simple and features a single sprig of mistletoe against a textured background of houndstooth, one of my favorite patterns.  I used a traditional holiday color scheme of red and green, but threw in a bit of lime green to add some punch.  I like the results and I hope you do too!

Sketch Challenge at Merry Monday

Lesley Croghan at Always Playing with Paper has a new sketch for us at Merry Monday this week!  I really love this sketch and I think you will too!  Get a head start on your Christmas cards and join us for this challenge!  Here's the sketch:

I used a Santa stamp that I've been wanting to ink up and it worked perfectly for this layout!  I kept things simple and stamped the image in a coordinating color to match my patterned papers.  The Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla really pop against the Crumb Cake background!  I really like the way it turned out and I hope you do too!

I flipped the sketch to make my card and decided to keep it clean and simple!  I love this retro color scheme of pink, red, lime and turquoise!  It works perfectly with the chipboard candy cane accent I found in my stash of embellishments!

Another Tic-Tac-Toe at Merry Monday

It's time for another Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (#55) at Merry Monday!  If you've never played one of these challenges before, you should really give it a try!  Choose a row on the Tic-Tac-Toe board, going across, down or diagonally, and use the elements in your chosen row to make your card!  What row do you think I picked?

I chose the bottom row going across to make a clean and simple one layer card!  I used a little Santa set I've had in my stash for quite some time.  The Santa reminded me of a Santa doll I had when I was a little girl in the 60s!  The sentiment says it all and works perfectly with the jolly old elf!  This card required minimal supplies and was so quick and easy to make!

Theme Challenge at Merry Monday

Can you guess the theme of our challenge at Merry Monday this week?  If you guessed Snowmen, you're right!  The possibilities are limitless with this theme, so I hope you'll play along with us and get a head start on making your Christmas cards!

I used a fun retro color palette of red, pink and turquoise to feature my happy chipboard snowman and rhinestone embellished snowflakes.  White card stock was torn and layered to create drifts of snow, then highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds to add a little sparkle!  Even the scripted sentiment stamped in black has a very retro look!

Merry Monday Challenge #53

It's Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Merry Monday hosted by Lesley Croghan at Always Playing with Paper!  We have a sketch for you to try that I really think you'll like!  Here's the sketch:

I stayed true to the sketch and used a mixture of patterned prints to create my card.  It features a pair of embellished Christmas trees and a punched star popped up on dimensionals, a flagged sentiment and some colorful Baker's twine to tie everything together!  Fun, bright and happy! I hope you like the finished results as much as I do!

Tic-Tac-Toe at Merry Monday

I hope you'll join us at Merry Monday this week for a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (#51)!  Choose any row across, down or diagonally from the Tic-Tac-Toe grid shown below and incorporate the elements in your chosen row on your card!  Can you guess what row I chose?

For my card, I chose the row on the far left, going down:  Red, Punches and Snowflakes.  A flurry of punched snowflakes is featured against a background of Real Red, matted with Pool Party to give it some contrast!  Small adhesive rhinestones enhance the center of each snowflake and a simple sentiment is popped up on dimensionals to add some depth.  This clean and simple graphic card is easy and fun to make!  I hope you like it as much as I do!
