Clean & Simple - PPA95 Challenge

It's time for another challenge at Pals Paper Arts and this week, we're hosting a CAS (Clean & Simple) Elements of Style Challenge featuring Brads (PPA95)!  Brads come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and finishes!  They can be added as a simple embellishment to enhance your creation or used as a featured focal point!  The decision is yours and the possibilities are endless!

My card showcases flower-shaped brads from Stampin' Up! used as a focal point on my Clean & Simple card.  This card was so easy to put together, but packs a lot of punch with the clean lines and bright colors against the contrasting black and white!  Best of all, it's quick and easy to make and can be adapted for any occasion by changing out the sentiment and/or the color scheme!  Simple, fast, and fun!

PPA94 Sketch Challenge

I've designed another simple sketch for you to work with for the Sketch Challenge (PPA94) at Pals Paper Arts this week!  This particular sketch lends itself to so many different possibilities! 

For my card, I chose to use the Butterfly Punch in place of the circles on the sketch.  I created my own patterned paper by stamping flowers with matching ink onto card stock before punching out each butterfly.  Simple embellishments include a flower-shaped button for the body tied with Linen Thread to create antennae.  A Stamp-a-ma-jig was used for perfect placement of the sentiment from the Live, Laugh, Love set. I love the simple but bold look created by stamping the words directly onto the word print patterned paper!

PPA93 Inspiration Challenge

Less is definitely more on this quick and simple card created for this week's Pals Paper Arts Inspiration Challenge (PPA93) entitled "Here Comes the Bride."  I've told you before how much I love the silhouette images of the Just Believe set! The simple floral images are so versatile and appropriate for almost any occasion!  The clean layout for this card features the floral image stamped in Crumb Cake and matted in the same color.  The sentiment is courtesy of Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped in Early Espresso using a Stampin' Write Marker.  A matching Crumb Cake button tied with Linen Thread adds the perfect finishing touch!

PPA92 Celebrity Color Challenge

Pals Paper Arts is hosting another Celebrity Color Challenge (PPA92) featuring Guest Artist, Colleen Dietrich of Dietrich Designs!  We challenged Colleen and we're challenging you to use the spring-fresh color trio of Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, and Poppy Parade for your card creations!  If you don't have these specific colors, feel free to use something similar!  You're not restricted to using Stampin' Up! colors only to play at PPA!

Today's card starts with a base of Pear Pizzazz (I love this color)!  Floral images from Fast & Fabulous are stamped in Poppy Parade on a background of Peach Parfait.  A little texture was added to a strip of Poppy Parade, courtesy of the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  A sentiment from Just Believe and a button-adorned embellishment created with the Boho Blossoms Punch completes this simple and clean, yet elegant card!
